6 Modern houses
in Ealing

A small urban wasteland is cleared of debris and decaying buildings, and replaced with a carefully curated forest of mixed species indigenous or naturalised trees. Within this new urban forest are set six new homes, totally enveloped and nurtured by the forest. The trees impinge between the facades and the glass curtain walls of the houses. Roof terraces and green roofs above. A planted green curtain wall to the rear – beautiful but also a functional energy management system. And a three-storey green wall and atrium within each home.
